General questions
Is a maintenance plan mandatory?
It is not a legal requirement for every property, but it is strongly recommended, especially for housing cooperatives and larger rental properties. Many banks and boards also require a clear plan for future maintenance.
How far ahead does a maintenance plan reach?
A typical maintenance plan covers 10 to 50 years, depending on the property's needs. Most housing cooperatives choose at least 30 years to get good lead time.
How often should a maintenance plan be updated?
Often every 3 to 5 years, or after major renovations. This keeps the plan current and useful.
How is OVK connected to the maintenance plan?
The result of an OVK inspection can show a need for measures that are then built into the maintenance plan. Read more: What is OVK?
Process and cost
How does work on a maintenance plan proceed?
The process has five steps: inventory of the property's parts; condition assessment of the current state and upcoming needs; planning of measures year by year with a recommended timing; cost estimates for each measure; and a finished plan as a basis for the board and management.
What does a maintenance plan cost?
The price depends on the size and complexity of the property and how much documentation exists. Request a quote and we will reply within 24 hours.
